The selection of HRCA’s staff is essential to its mission of providing an excellent classical, Christian education to our community.  We strive to maintain a loving, disciplined learning environment with responsible Christian role models for our students.  As HRCA continues to develop and grow its administrative and teaching staff, we are seeking individuals who love the Lord, love children, and love learning.  All of our staff are members in good standing of a Christian church.

We aim to hire and retain the highest caliber of teacher for our classrooms. First and foremost is that we expect that each teacher will clearly exhibit godly character, demonstrate an active and growing faith in Jesus Christ, and express a love of God’s Holy Word.  As Christian role models for students, our teachers should live their lives coram deo (“in the presence of God”) at all times.  This will be reflected in all aspects of their lives as they consistently exhibit love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity at school and at home.

Haw River Christian Academy, a growing junior kindergarten-tenth grade classical, Christian school located in Pittsboro, N.C., is accepting applications for a part-time upper school mathematics teacher. This position will gradually transition to full time as we continue adding one grade level per year. The preferred candidate should not only have a strong background in algebra, geometry, and advanced courses, but must also exhibit a sincere and evident Christian faith. Hiring Schedule:

Our Administration and Personnel team begin reviewing staffing needs in January of each school year.  Open positions will be advertised and posted on this page.  Hiring decisions are ideally announced by May 1 for the next school year.  Teacher training opportunities are provided each summer via the Association of Classical Christian Schools national conference (June) and Rockbridge Teacher Training in Maryland (July).
