Corporation

The By-Laws of Haw River Christian require that at least one parent of each enrolled enrolled family and all faculty members be active members of the HRCA corporation. Membership is a pre-requisite for new student admissions.

Active members may attend board meetings, exercise voting rights (when presented by the board), and re-enroll their children each academic year.

Membership (for an individual parent or both parents) is renewed annually in January. The $50 non-refundable fee is added to a family’s account. This fee is still applicable to the current school year, even if a family does not plan to re-enroll for the following academic year. Faculty members pay no fee and are considered non-voting members of the corporation.

The HRCA board hosts an annual corporation meeting that provides updates about the business side of the school. Special times of fellowship and fun are often planned in addition or in conjunction with this meeting. Corporation members are also invited to attend or participate in special school events and fundraisers throughout the year.
