Our annual walk-a-thon is a fun and fit activity for students, families, and staff.  It is also a meaningful way to involve our students in a major school fundraiser and support a local Christian charity. This event helps students learn how to set and reach personal goals, practice their presentation skills and manners, provide for families in need, plus exercise their bodies!

The proceeds from this event are evenly split to support the annual budget for the Parent Teacher Fellowship and the school’s Annual Fund.

HRCA reserves 10% of the fundraised total to purchase Angel Tree gifts for children at Christmas. Our house leaders and their mentors spend a few hours shopping and wrapping gifts of clothing (a winter jacket, gloves, hat, 1 or 2 outfits, 1-2 pairs of shoes, and socks per child) and toys for children here in our local community. These gifts are then delivered to the Salvation Army of Chatham County.
