Haw River Christian Academy is the premier classical Christian school in Chatham County, North Carolina. In 2007, our school was founded by a group of local, like-minded parents who desired and were committed to providing a faith-based education, complemented with rigorous academics, for their children and the Christian community.  

Our mission is to educate students with a Christ-centered foundation and excellent classical academics while encouraging students to discover their unique Godly design, purpose and calling. 

HRCA is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools and was modeled after these nationally recognized institutions.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-denominational, church independent school.   

HRCA opened in the Fall of 2008 as a K-2 school, and has steadily grown to complete its Grammar School (Junior Kindergarten-6th grade) in 2011-12.  We will be opening the Logic School phase, beginning with 7th grade, in the 2012-13 school year.  The school's vision is to continue adding one grade per year until serving grades JK-12.
