Admissions

studentsHaw River Christian Academy has an admissions policy that resembles the application process used in many other private schools and colleges. This enables the school to accurately identify and admit students from families who have clearly expressed convictions similar to the school’s philosophy and academic standards regarding the education of children.

The selection and make-up of the school’s student body is second only to staff in the impact it has upon the school’s mission.  The family-like atmosphere that HRCA seeks to foster and currently enjoys is due in great measure to the similarity of biblical convictions and principles taught and lived out in the homes of our students.  As the Lord blesses us with growth and change, we want to do all that we can to maintain and cultivate this culture.

HRCA is, in essence, an expression of the commitment of a body of parents to provide the best possible training and instruction for their children. Our mission is to instill in each student a love for truth, wisdom, discernment and learning through the use of excellent materials, in an orderly setting, founded on a growing personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a covenant school, we require that at least one parent or guardian of each applicant give a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and be a regular attendee or member of a Christian church.

Non-Discriminatory Policy:

HRCA follows a biblical philosophy of non-discrimination for both admissions of students and hiring of staff.  HRCA does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, or national origin in the administration of its policies, hiring, admissions, scholarships, and all other school-directed programs.
