At Haw River Christian Academy, unlike many schools today, we place a strong and intentional emphasis on the arts, including the performing arts. While others have reduced or eliminated these programs due to budget constraints, we are committed to expanding our investment in the arts each year. As a classical Christian school, we are called to cultivate and celebrate what is True, Good, and Beautiful, and the arts provide a powerful and tangible expression of these ideals. Through theater, visual art, and music, our students not only learn about beauty, but also participate in bringing it to life for others to experience.
What is Night of the Arts? The Night of the Arts is an HRCA event showcasing all facets of art education offered here at HRCA. The event historically features…
Art – Students have worked hard and created pieces of artwork all year long. These will be on display, including all pieces by Art Competition winners.
Music – Students who have been involved in choir and private instruction will perform throughout the evening.
Theater – Production of the current year’s play will be the feature performance of the evening. Previous productions include The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Peter Pan, Our Town, The Prideful Princess and many more.
Dance – There also has been included segments of dance by our Kindergarteners through 3rd graders.
This is truly a magical event that is not to be missed at HRCA!
